So I was watching Brad’s tiny bit in iHire an Idiot. And a thought occurred to me; why on earth did he bring fudge with him to an interview about possible being their intern?

Then I realized that their in universe fans are probably well aware of how much Sam loves food.

Therefore! The reason Brad brought the fudge with him is because he had a massive crush on Sam. He’s just good at hiding it.

Your argument is invalid.

…DUDE I LOVE THIS. Plus uh who wouldn’t have a crush on Sam? She is fucking GORGEOUS. I don’t think it’s farfetched that he’d show up hoping to impress her with his fudge-making skills a little.

I’m going to take this as an opportunity to go on a wee iCarly tangent. So sometimes I wonder if, in the universe of the show, Sam isn’t supposed to be as attractive as Jennette is. Because, objectively, the girl is absolutely stunning. But no one ever seems to be into Sam. Is Sam not good looking in their universe?

Everyone is always into Carly and Carly is always prettiest and best and all the boys love her etc etc etc. Is this because Sam doesn’t flirt, or is she truly not as pretty as Carly?

secret: I think Sam is prettier than Carly.

WEIRD TANGENT SORRY CONTINUE ON WITH THE STEALTH BRELANIE SHIPPING.

Your tangent is pretty much exactly what I was going to reply with. The only times anyone has ever commented on Sam being attractive is when she’s all dressed up but I think she’s honestly just as stunning in her usual clothes.

I really want someone, preferably Freddie, to acknowledge that she’s beautiful even when she’s not all dressed up.

My personal headcanon is just that everyone’s too scared of Sam to ask her out. I mean, she broke Gibby’s thumbs at one point. xD And I doubt that’s the worst thing she’s done. Out of her and Carly, Carly’s obviously the more approachable one. So I imagine that if a Ridgeway guy wants to ask out a webstar, they’d go for Carly. Which is why Freddie’s so good for Sam - he’s not scared of her any more, really. She threatened him with a double-fist dance on his face and he didn’t even FLINCH. He kissed her in front of millions of people. You think ANY guy at Ridgeway would pull that? Not if he likes his face the way it is. And then on top of it Sam’s not as forward as Carly either. Carly sees a cute guy and she goes for it. Sam sees a cute guy and she just kind of sits back. She stole Carter’s basketball but that’s about the most we see her do to get a guy’s attention (not including Freddie, because Freddie’s a whole different ball game). But Brad doesn’t go to their school and would have no real reason to be afraid of Sam. I’m sure that their Internet fanbase probably thinks Sam’s juvie record/aggression/etc are kind of played up for the webshow. And Sam is *nice* to Brad, both when he first meets them and later when he’s actually interning with them, so there’s that too. *super disjointed posts go!*

I see where you’re coming from with all that and it has occurred to me before but it’s still going to annoy the heck out of me.

And do not mention the double fist face dancing threat to me. That was my favourite part of the scene. (That’s a lie. Every part of that scene was my favourite.) Character development. So much character development!

I think I’ve managed to convince myself that Brad really did have a massive crush on Sam.

Oh it bugs me too. That’s why I have the headcanon I do. So that I’m not constantly raging about it internally. This placates me a little. Because seriously. I would be all over Sam. And I’m straight. So I don’t see how a school full of teenage boys is not hitting that up all the time.

I can watch that scene over and over and never ever get sick of it. (And I have done so.) Freddie standing up to Sam without a second thought because he needs to talk to her and he’s not going to let her scare him away? Yes. PLEASE. I will never ever get over that.

I’m totally on board with that idea. (Of course, because it just makes Brelanie that much more heartbreaking and fantastic.) You could like… legit read that into his behavior, too. I mean he’s a nice guy in general but come ON he was totally into Sam did you see how awkward he was when Carly locked them in together?

Guise, our beautiful ships are beautiful.

But seriously, how ridiculously talented is Sam, though?

Really, this is Jennette, too, but if we add their talents together, it’s an endless list of perfection.

  • sing
  • dance
  • ice skate
  • rap
  • fight like a bamf
  • funny
  • street smarts (which is also an endless list of useful tricks)
  • eats ten times her weight and looks like THAT
  • WHAT CAN SHE NOT DO, GUISE?

Ladies and gents, Sam Puckett, played by Jennette McCurdy.

Add drawing and painting to that list. Which falls under things Sam can do but Jennette can’t.

And I forgot acting. They can both act. Sam lies through her teeth, and lying takes acting skills.

Here’s another one for both of them: The ability to looking freaking gorgeous no matter what they’re wearing.

And she plays trombone. And speaks Italian.
